Request Verisnap Account & Data Deletion
If you no longer want your Verisnap account or the data we store for you, please follow the instructions below to submit a deletion request at support@verisnap.com.
Steps to request deletion
- Write an email to support@verisnap.com with the subject line “Account deletion request”.
- Send the email from the address you used inside the Verisnap app so we can verify ownership.
- Include the following information in the email body:
- The username (email) tied to your Verisnap profile.
- Whether you want to delete saved captures, TruthScore results, or support tickets linked to your account.
- We will confirm receipt of your request within 3 business days and complete deletion within 30 days unless we contact you for clarification.
What to expect: once the request is processed, your account will be deactivated immediately, and you will lose access to any verification history stored in the app.
Data that will be deleted
- Account profile information (name, email, username, and linked login identifiers).
- Device attestations, TruthScore verifications, captures, and stored media hashes tied to your account.
- In-app preferences and notification settings.
- Open customer-support conversations once the case is fully resolved.
All deleted records are permanently removed from active systems and backups within 30 days of completing the request.
Data we may retain
To meet legal, security, and fraud-prevention obligations we keep a very limited set of information after we fulfill your deletion request:
- Transaction or payment records required by tax or accounting laws (retained for up to 7 years).
- Security and access logs needed to detect abuse (retained for up to 90 days, then anonymized).
- Aggregated, de-identified metrics that cannot be linked back to you.
This retained information is locked down and used only for the reasons stated above.
